An Aerial Marriage Proposal!

ProposalThis weekend was a first for Avios as we were asked to help out with a marriage proposal by a local fireman.

Since the proposal was to take place in the bucket of the fire truck about 60ft up in the air a drone was really the only way to capture the scene.

The fireman is friends with Kyle of Bergen County Aerial Media who also happens to be a local policeman. Since two cameras are always better than one Kyle asked if I would assist.  Of course, I was thrilled to help our local heroes!

Obviously, a GoPro in the bucket and couple of drones flying around the rig was a little conspicuous, so a story had to be spun about how the town was creating a documentary about firemen and their lives.

Suffice it to say that Kyle and I had a blast watching the screens as the proposal went down.  And when I showed my wife the footage from my camera…she cried.

This is hands down one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever had the pleasure to participate in.  Big thank you to Kyle for reaching out.

Oh…and the answer?  YES!!
