Tourist fined $20K for out-of-control drone that landed at airport in Las Vegas

  Burciaga’s drone flew more than two miles at an altitude just above 450 feet. It landed just feet away from an active runway at McCarran International Airport. An Aerial Land Grab

Basically, Amazon wants to take half of the airspace currently available to commercial and hobby drones to be carved out for their exclusive use. Not only are they asking for half, but they are asking for the half that doesn’t contain trees, power lines, and other obstacles that are generally not conducive to staying in the air.
